‘Do you love yourself?’ is the question in ‘Selph Luv’ – the new single from Brooklyn-based fleet.dreams – which features Detroit vocalist Supercoolwicked. Steamy R&B and electronic sensibilities fuse to make for a warm, heartfelt display of dance music.

The original, with its essence of equal parts Badu & Lil’ Kim, takes a pure R&B stance, featuring Supercoolwicked’s seductively soulful tone. The ‘Move Ya Body Mix’ prioritizes groove, allowing shakers to shine through a layer of infectious vocals to create a party starting anthem. Queens-based Escaflowne provides the percussion-laden ‘XR Luv Mix’ which shouts Autumn sunset and takes the track to a new height of dancefloor delight.

Second track, ‘U can B the 2’ touches resolving conflict on the dancefloor, leaving you to close your eyes and feel the deep, thumping house bliss. Acid, a sexy bassline and repetitious hooks over bouncing drums make for a sincerely beautiful reminder of how good, grooving music can still bring us together. Do you love yourself?
